Finally! A talk show with the testicular fortitude to say the things that need to be said without pandering and worry over loss of sponsorship. I never listened to this station before, but I listen everyday now. I hear alot of whining on here about not hearing "music" in the mornings, and I agree with the buy an IPOD suggestions. If you don't like the show, be your own censor and turn the station. Leave the show for those of us that love to listen. I only wish the signal strength was better. Keep Bubba on the air!! I used to listen to Bob and Tom before their show became a sad repeat of itself day after day. BTLS keeps things fresh and current.

I started listening to Bubba back in July 2009 and called in a few times on things I agreed on.I called in once when I disagreed on a song they had about Little Callee Anthony's mother.Something about putting her kid in the trunk and this and that. I Hated the song!!! I called and told him and his view was that it was all TRUE and taken from newsclips.I told him I still didnt like it,his crew members were fine with my opinion but I caught Bubba on a bad day :) He got pissed called me some quick names and before I could respond he played his "Evil Kenevel" stop calling me bit and hung up on me.So I was upset and vowed to never listen to the hack again....that only lasted about 10 days before I had to turn it back on and listen some more!!!! Now if they have a bit or a song I dont agree with I just turn the radio for a few minutes before turnin it back on :) I dont care who you are...you cant agree with everything that a single person says(not even a spouse) or does.I agree with more than 90% of what Bubba says.We have talked since and him and the boys thanked me for coming back and even apologized briefly and said they can respect what I've done.I like the radio show and Bubba,plus I am a wrestling mark and thats the only radio show I can hear about pro wrestling.So give the boys a good listen(at least a week or two) maybe you can be like me and AGREE TO DISAGREE on a few things with the LOVESPONGE!!! I've been listening to bubba for years on sirius and his show is the next best thing to stern. Turn the channel if you don't like the guy. Note to the station, please upgrade the signal so we can hear it better up north-west of Dayton. Can't get a signal at all in my office in vandalia

What were the marketing guys thinking? On a channel that plays classic music, they hired a guy who morning show is filled with juvenial humor. Even my high school daughter thinks Bubba is too immature to be on the radio. - What audience demographic are they trying to reach. - I like the music. The DJ, not so much.

Really don't care about this guys show. He sounds so full of himself, and is always contradicting his statements. I think he apologizes daily for something he said before. And C'on! Talking down on education? Only an ignorant person would do that.

What the hell happened to The Eagle?
Has Dayton radio gotten so hard up they have to hire out a syndicate show for "entertainment"?
I've heard the commercials for this "Bubba the Love Sponge", and from those commercials had a dislike for his whole attitude. Now that I've had the chance to try and listen to it these last few days, I'm afraid 95.3 The Eagle has lost touch with what Dayton radio listeners want to hear. And it's not this person.
From what I've read and heard, offensive radio in the morning is not the way to go. People are stressed enough about their lives. Driving to work and listening to a station that used to play some really great music made for a better day, but now!!!

I'm sorry to say, but I am now a former listener of 95.3 The Eagle. Should you want any of your former loyal fans back, get rid of the out-of-towner and go back to what you once did best, playing "50 minutes of music every hour, without commercial interruption".

Oh, and for those who are "loyal" to the rude and crass "Bubba", it really shows what kind of person you are by sticking up for this filth. Makes one wonder where your mom and dad went wrong raising you.
And lastly, I know good comedy when I hear it, and this is not it.
95.3 The Eagle was a class station, and now it is nothing more than a 2-bit wanna-be like the Jones' radio station, copying what other stations are doing with their drive times by alienating their listeners with this type of "programming".

I logged on in the afternoon yesterday, for the first time and liked the music, but this morning was in for a shock. After reading through numerous comments, it confirms my opinion; like others “I like the music, but.…”
I remembered hearing yesterday an ad; "I am Dayton." This stuck me as an attempt to dispel a negative impression of Dayton. Please remember, the first impression you make may be the only impression that stays. Is this program truly a wise decision in the current economy?

I've read most of the comments on here and about 90% of them come from a lot of pussies. Get over yourselves and just turn off the radio if it's too much for you. Honestly, I would have to say the 5 o' clock news is much worse. Learn to laugh at yourself a little bit and get outside of that little gray box for a little bit. What a bunch of tools.

I was very sorry to hear Bubba on the Eagle in the mornings. I enjoyed listening to this station on the way to work as well as at my desk. I am now listening to internet radio while I sit at my desk. For one, the language on this show is very offensive and I don't even leave it on long enough to find out what the subject matter is. I hate to see a good classic station go down the hill like this.

I'm glad that there is finally some radio worth listening to in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. This show is actually entertaining. Not just childish potty humor that you usually hear on other local radio stations. Bubba tends to talk like most normal folk and his topics are actually of interest and relevant.
I'm amazed in this day and age people are still acting so soft and easily offended. Toughen up! It's refreshing to hear Bubba expound on topical subjects with a language and feel of the everyday man and not trying to cheese it up like other morning shows.
For those of you that miss the music, you only have 20 other stations, the internet and mp3's so you can hear Lynyrd Skynyrd songs for the thousandth time.
The Eagle won't be able to stay afloat if the do nothing but play music over and over. How many stations can you name that are still afloat AND playing the same format? A little Bubba for 25% of a 24 hour broadcast day will hopefully allow the Eagle to stay competitive and not die out like most stations have over the years.

This show is not "edgy" nor is it "controversial." I am not turned off by profanity or "political-incorrectness." I am brutally offended however, by generic, insipid, unqualified humor. This show is a farce. A pox on real comedy. And let me reiterate, I have a strikingly diverse palate for comedy. No matter how demure and controlled or inappropriate, intuitive and absurdist, as long as it's actually funny. The high praise that this station sings for this hack is the funniest joke so far. I think it is a very sad world where you play songs about the death of a little girl kind of like poking fun at it using the music of Fergie's My Humps song. So sick!!!!!!!!!! And just because some attorney in Florida thinks you should continue to play it doesn't mean you should. The little girl is dead and I really don't think that "for obvious reasons" that it would help the court case if anything it will probably work in the Casey Anthony's case.

Okay I have tried listening for almost a week and what Bubba tries to pass off as humor is nothing more then crude, crass rubbish. This is not appropriate content for a morning show especially one that a lot of people used to listen to with their children. Adveriters take heed-I have talked to at least 40 people about the programming change and out of that group almost every single one of them has stopped listening in the morning. Over half have completely taken 95.3 off their pre-programmed stations and no longer listen at all. Several of the them stated that they ussed to listen as a family and they no longer listen at all. Why any station thinks that changing the format from one of classic rock to one of belittling and disgusting talk is beyond me. I will be contacting the list of advertisers from the morning show to complain and let them know that I no longer will be taking advantage of their products or services as long as they advertise on your morning show.

What a milk toast bunch of listeners this station must've had before the Sponge arrived.

I have listened to Bubba since he came to Sirius in 06. His show is different. But once you listen, you will be hooked. He is abrasive, but if you listen to his content, he is spot on with what he talks about, especially about his comments about octo-mom and other issues. When his Sirius show was 5 days a week, the amount of calls he got from Ohio listeners was huge. He talked about how much merchandise he would ship to residents of Ohio. He did an appearance/show in Cleveland last year. There have to be people listening because his syndication is growing.
What I don't under stand, and probably never will, is if you don't like what is on the radio or tv, you have choices, change the station. Last I knew it was called broadcasting. Cox is a business, trying to make money, and they made a business decision to make money.

I lived in Tampa for five years and was always a Bubba fan. When I heard he was coming here I was stoked, living in Dayton makes me really miss Tampa, if it were up to me I'd be out of here with a quickness, this whole state blows. All you bible hugging, bingo playing, Bubba hating pieces of crap that don't like the show, theres an easy solution. TURN THE FRIGGIN STATION!! By saying how much you hate the show just adds more members to the Bubba army and makes Bubba and the gang make fun of you even more. I used to listen to Bubba when I lived in Tampa and since moving, have only been able to pick him up through sat radio. This by far is the best move you could have made eagle. Finally glad to have a morning show that I can listen to and enjoy.I and all my friends will forever be an Eagle listner so long as Bubba is on.

I am a former FTE gone Dispatch Jones now, due to losing my CDL for too many speeding violations. It is great to hear Bubba and the crew here in Dayton, Ohio area. I work in Jamestown, Oh and can listen there all the way to my house in Wilmington, Oh. I am thankful to have Bubba and the crew here where I can listen again. The show is the best keep up the good work

You have built your fan base on playing music. Now you have put this crap on. What were you thinking? I realized the other morning I would rather listen to commercials so I change the channel rather than listen to these idiots. If you don't change back to music you will have lost another listener for good.

You do realize that not all of these anti-Bubba comments are from Xenia, don't you? You have offended all of the Dayton/Xenia/Warren County/etc... listening audience, equally.

And, yes. We realize that it's 2009, and the "landscape" of area radio has changed. It has become a land of endless, juvenile talk about nothing. What you don't seem to understand is that, for a good portion of your listening audience, that is the reason we searched for other stations... stations that played actual music. We found, AND STAYED, with the Eagle.

It's too bad that the station that we were attracted to BECAUSE of it's Classic Rock/No Talk, has changed to be the same tastless, cookie-cutter station we all sought to get away from.

The Eagle we love has landed; wretching at the change in it's landscape.

Used to listen to 95.3 all of the time, but since you put Bubba on your station, I have turned you off. I am back to listening to CD's again

Having once worked on this same station in Xenia in the 1980's, I respect...as does this station..the city of Xenia, since you are our city of license. But, we're not just listened to, and have never been listened to solely by people in Xenia. We have listeners all over Greene County...in Fairborn, Bellbrook, Beavercreek just to name a few. And, we have listeners in the Dayton and Springfield areas as well...as well as in Warren and Clinton counties. We respect you all - but this is 2009...not 1980. The "old days" have passed.

Would much rather listen to it. Please return it to my morning drive.

No offense to the guys on the show, but what on Earth made anybody think this was a good fit? The Eagle has built its following on the understanding that the listeners were here for the music and only the music. I'm making my morning drive with The Fly from now on...

Bubba is sucking the life out of your listening audience.... we want music, not "CRAP" radio. You just flushed a whole office full of listeners down the toilet.

every nursing home in Xenia has turned you off. You upset residents. do you think that a 80 year old resident wants to hear about guys vomiting on milk when he's trying to take his pills? You don't get life. by the way, jason roberts knows better. i know him from the oldies WING days.

what a sad sad, station this has become, I've lived my entire life in Xenia and it's a shame to see a station that used to play great oldies music and give us local weather updates turn into the piece of crap with this bubba nonsense. Where has local radio gone? This station is now doing a disservice to the city of xenia.

I found your station online several weeks ago. I thought it was great, love your format. Have it playing in the office for the most part of the day.

Yesterday we listened to the morning show for the fist time and all agree that “Bubba The love Sponge” was rude, offensive and anything but entertaining.

I am spreading this darn show as fast as F'in wildfire. 10 of my friends have switched and love it. They were former bob and tom fans. I agree with Bubba...Bob and Tom are old 60 year old farts doing the same bits they did for 20 years. It's getting as bad as Gary Burbank sounded the last few years. I love 95.3 for the music!!! Bring it back in the mornings. This station is the only one in Dayton playing good music and now I have nothing to listen to on my way to work. Absolutely hate it!!!

I really want to say thank you to this station. I live in Trenton and listen to Sirius because of Howard, Bubba is a better option than any kind of talk that is going on in this area. I like when other MEN talk about what REAL MEN talk about.

I was thrilled when I found the Eagle. It used to play the classic rock I love - and can't listen to at work. I was horrified this morning. From home to work (at least a 20 minute drive), all I heard was a bad rap cover for a guy I hadn't heard of ever, and then mindless banter that I have absolutly no interest in. If that's what I can expect from now on (don't know what disappointment awaits me on the drive home), I will go back to listening to my MP3 player because this was the only decent music station in Dayton. How depressing.

I wonder if your station is really paying attention to current listeners and their demographic. I am a 41-year-old female and there is no way I'm listening to this junk. Also wonder if the people who love Bubba ever listened to 95.3 before (and if any of them are women)... You've certainly alienated me.

Show sucks. I will find something else to listen to, I use to love your station. I listen to classic rock to hear the music, not some moron describe his bowel movement.

used to listen to bubba on xm and then i followed him to sirius when howard hired him on. and now we finaly get good radio in dayton. thank good their is hope.

the first time around when it was called The Howard Stern Show.

i listen to him everyday on sirrius and absoutly love his show. dayton hasnt had a morning show this good in the 10 yrs i have lived here
